My Photography Collection, Capture the Moments Book

Artistic Expression Through Photography

Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating durable images by recording light electronically utilizing an image sensor or chemically employing a light-sensitive. I started this career as a photojournalist in 2007 with Kabul Film and Photo House in Afghanistan.

I actually started photography in 2007 with a semi-professional camera on the roads of Kabul after taking a 2-year course. I walked almost all the roads of Kabul and as a street photographer, I took thousands of photos of everyday life, portraits, culture, and the difficulties of people's lives. During this time, I was arrested, beaten, and threatened many times for photographing women and traditional society.

However, I did not give up and continued this profession. In 2009, I took a photography master class with the famous Australian photographer Tim Page, and after that, I worked as a photojournalist for a while. With the establishment of the Asia Culture House, I officially resigned from photography and started working as the executive director of the Asia Culture House. But the camera remained the first tool for change in my life, still is and will definitely be. In my professional photography activities, I published two independent photography books and two photo books with other photographers, one of which is this collection.
